Welcome to Gabrielle's Portfolio
The purpose of this website is to serve as my foundational portfolio for my Full Stack Web Development course. Throughout the semester, I will continue building and improving this site as I learn new tools, techniques, and technologies used in modern web development. This portfolio gives me one central place where I can organize projects, assignments, and examples of the skills I develop during the course. Instead of each assignment existing separately, the website allows me to connect my work together and see how my knowledge grows over time.
One of the main goals of this website is to demonstrate what I am learning about creating pages with HTML, styling them with CSS, and making layouts responsive for different screen sizes. As the course continues, I will also be able to add more advanced features using JavaScript and other full-stack development tools. Each new assignment gives me an opportunity to improve the structure, appearance, and functionality of the site while practicing techniques that professional web developers use.
This portfolio also represents my personal learning journey. Web development involves many different skills, and I know that becoming comfortable with them takes practice. By continuing to update the same website throughout the course, I can look back at earlier versions and see how much the design and code have improved. I can also experiment with different layouts, colors, images, navigation techniques, forms, responsive design, and frameworks such as Bootstrap.
My goal is for this website to become both a useful academic portfolio and an example of the progress I am making as a developer. I want the pages to be clear, organized, accessible, and easy to navigate on computers, tablets, and phones. As I complete more projects, I will continue adding them here so that visitors can easily view the work I have created. By the end of the course, this site should provide a good overview of the skills and experience I have gained while learning full-stack web development.
